Trauma-Informed, Compassionate Counseling for Adults in Colorado

Transition, loss, confusion, disconnection, loneliness, sadness, anger, grief, anxiety, melancholy, pain, emotional dysregulation, relationship conflict, low self-esteem. These are all normal feelings and experiences that come and go throughout life, but they sometimes grow unmanageable and disrupt our health, well-being, and day to day functioning. Perhaps you are in perimenopause or menopause, experiencing a physical transformation or radical life transition, exploring your authentic identity, experiencing conflict in your relationships, feeling disconnected or deeply uncomfortable, moving through trauma, or are currently in a place of acute suffering.  You deserve to feel whole, healthy, and connected. You deserve effective help and compassionate care.   I am here to tell you that are not alone.

Because to simply survive is simply not enough.

The heart of my practice: Get supportive, compassionate, integrative care as you transit life's hormonal and experiential shifts.  Find health, comfort, and connection through postpartum, perimenopause & menopause, or gender transition.

A safe, non-judgmental, shame-free, trauma-informed space to explore the mind-body connection to true intimacy, erotic desire, healthy connection, healing, and pleasure.  Self acceptance lives here without embarrassment or fear. I am kink, trans, queer, and sex worker allied.

Step into your fully embodied, authentic self as you discover and explore the values, beliefs, and perspectives that honestly reflect your unique being.  Recognize your worth, build self esteem, live in congruence with your ideals,  and reduce the distress and negative impacts of depression and anxiety.

Uncover, identify, and heal foundational attachment wounds, make peace with relational trauma, achieve emotional regulation, experience safe rupture & repair, and learn effective communication skills to help foster a healthy and enriching relationship to the self and others.

Integrated Mental Healthcare

Whether you are at the beginning of a new relationship, the end of a marriage, starting a new career, transitioning to your true gender, entering adulthood, becoming a wise elder, or facing a critical illness, you can feel supported and resourced through your individual journey.

A fiercely safe, inclusive, and allied space, without judgement or shame, where you can explore and discover your unique identity.  All experience, emotions, and positionalities are welcome and validated here in service of healing, growth, and community.

A gentle space to hold and process profound loss and navigate the complexities of bereavement.  Whether you have experienced the death of a loved one or beloved pet, are navigating the end of a primary relationship, facing a terminal diagnosis, or long struggling with a previous loss, there is a pathway out of suffering and into acceptance and peace.

Emotional wellbeing is a profound and  critical part of our overall health. In consultation with primary care physicians, acupuncturists, gynecologists, yoga instructors, reiki masters, or whomever meets your needs, counseling dovetails beautifully with your existing care professionals to help you achieve a more functional life.

My therapeutic space is intentionally designed to be a safe place in which you can most comfortably do the hard work of healing.  In here, you get to be you.  Stretch out on the floor, curl up on a chair, lie down on the couch, jump around barefoot, drink tea, strike a pose, cry, laugh, meditate, breathe.  It's all welcome here.

What to Expect

Welcome to the next era of your life

If you're reading this, you have already taken the first, hardest step toward improving your well-being, reducing distress and suffering, strengthening your relationships, and creating a healthier life.  To acknowledge that something has to change is honest and brave and not easy.  Now that you're ready to dive in, what comes next?

The therapeutic relationship between therapist and client, one in which you feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood, is arguably the most important part of therapy and the best predictor of a positive outcome.   Finding the right therapist with whom you feel comfortable being vulnerable, and who has the skills, training, and experience to be effective, may feel like a daunting task or exhausting process.  My goal is to make that process as easy as possible for you.

I offer a free 15 minute phone consult in order to connect, discuss your concerns, and explore whether my approach feels like a good fit for your needs. This is time set aside for you to ask questions, get a sense of my therapeutic style, and share what you are hoping to accomplish in therapy. It also allows me to determine whether I am the right clinician to support you, or if another provider or level of care may better meet your needs.

My Philosophy on Care

With respect, empathy, and kindness, I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and shame-free space that fosters brave discovery, personal growth, and positive change. My clinical focus is on women’s health (cis, trans, non-binary, or self-defined), peri & menopause issues, sexual wellness, life adjustments and transitions, identity exploration and development, attachment wounds and relational conflict, anxiety, and depression. I love helping people struggling with the difficulties and challenges that can emerge in adulthood, including the grief and loss of a primary partner or beloved pet due to divorce or death.

My counseling practice is interpersonal, trauma-informed, and deeply relational.  I work from the perspective that you are a unique individual, shaped by your experiences and the socio-political environment in which you live.  There is no "one size fits all" therapy; I believe counseling is most helpful when it is specifically tailored to your history, concerns, indentities, and culture. Together we will collaborate on a highly personal, holistic approach to your most pressing issues and find a path forward that steadily improves your life and wellbeing.  LGBTQIA+  allied and affirming.  Proudly feminist.  All are welcome.
